The way I see Generative AI playing out across the enterprise will be that companies will lean on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for Core Generative AI services. The simple truth is that most enterprises do not have the knowledge or resources available to build proprietary large language models (LLMs) that underpin Generative AI services. We have written about those gating factors previously (see our related article HERE).
Here is some detail on AWS’s, Azure’s and GCP’s Generative AI offerings. Google being the AI leader in our view. (Note: only Google does not lean on third-party LLMs for Generative AI):
- AWS: AWS’s Core Generative AI service is named Bedrock. Bedrock leverages in-house AI capability plus third-party capability: https://aws.amazon.com/bedrock/
- Azure: Microsoft incorporates OpenAI’s GPT4 in Azure OpenAI Service: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/introducing-gpt4-in-azure-openai-service/
- Google Cloud: Read about Generative AI Studio on Vertex AI by Google here: https://cloud.google.com/generative-ai-studio
