Electric Vehicles are all the rage even if they are a fraction of total global unit sales. We decided to look at how electricity is produced in the U.S. to get a sense as to how electricity may be generated in the near future. Here are the major sources of electricity production in the U.S. for 2019 per the U.S. Energy Information Administration:
- Natural Gas: 38.4%
- Coal: 23.4%
- Nuclear: 19.6%
- Wind: 7.1%
- Hydropower: 7.0%
- Solar: 1.7%
- Wood: 0.9%
- Other: 1.9%
